Daily Christian
Those who attend the Church services for Christmas, New Year and Easter only
are used to be called festival Christians. And those who miss no Sunday service but forget God
all through the week are called Churchians. But God expects us to walk in His ways
and serve Him everyday. If we joyfully fulfil the following duties,
we will be daily Christians.
1. Daily Worship
"Continuing daily with one accord in the temple... praising God and having favour
with all the people" (Acts 2:46,47)
2. Daily Meditation
"They received the Word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily"
(Acts 17:11)
3. Daily Witnessing
"The Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved...
The Churches were strengthened in the faith, and increased in number daily"
(Acts 2:47; 16:5)
4. Daily Bread
(Faith for it)
"Give us this day our daily bread" (Mt 6:11)
5. Daily Cross
(Self-denial)
"Jesus said to them all: If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself,
and take up his cross daily, and follow Me" (Lk 9:23-26)
6. Daily Death
(Pressures, threatening situations)
"I die daily... Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?... for I am persuaded
that neither death nor life shall be able to separate us from the love of God
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (1 Cor 15:31; Rom 8:35-39)
7. Daily Exhortation
"Exhort one another daily, while it is called Today, lest any of you be hardened
through the deceitfulness of sin" (Heb 3:12,13)
